Sunday, September 24, 2023 ERATH HIGH Homecoming Block Party and Stomp

Block Party Time: 9am-2pm in the Erath Middle Semi-Circle Floats must be built on a 10 ft. utility trailer.

•Each class must provide all materials needed. Base coat must be painted prior to.

•Each class account is given a float budget of $300.00.

•Floats will be judged that day at 2 pm.

•The float must reflect the homecoming and class’s theme.

•It should incorporate EHS and Bobcats into the decorations, which can be 3D.

•Float Points 1st= 20 pts. 2nd= 15 pts. 3rd= 10 pts. 4th= 5 pts.

FLOATS On HOCO day: Floats must be parked on Bobcat Alley by 8:00 AM. Float drivers must turn in signed Homecoming Driver’s Checklist. After the parade, floats should remain parked on Bobcat Alley for the game. 4 students are allowed to ride on the float along with one faculty member. Students participating has to be dressed to match the theme.

STOMP 2023 9/24/23 at 4:30 pm in the EHS Football Stadium

•Each class will need to create a choreographed dance routine incorporating their class’s Board Game and promoting class spirit and unity.

•Length: routine cannot exceed 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

•There is no limit to the number of people in routine, but only EHS students are allowed to participate.

•Props are acceptable.

•Music, vocals, and dance moves must be school appropriate. Music must be given to Dr. Smith for approval.

•Stomp points:1st= 20 pts. 2nd = 15 pts. 3rd= 10 pts. 4th= 5 pts.

Make sure you are dressed for the parks in your coordinating Disney Theme Park outfits whether it is shirts or Disney ears! Looking back over the years, Walt Disney has created lots of productions that were staples to many of our childhoods.  Dress up as your favorite childhood cartoons or characters as you reminisce on the past! •Erath HIGH Homecoming Dress Day 2023 “Villains vs. Princesses” Dress Theme Day: Have you ever once upon a time wanted to be the Princess or Prince in your fairytale? Or maybe you could pose as the villain. Dress up inspired by your favorite Villain or Princess from any story! For dress days, you must abide by all guidelines presented by class presidents. •Hall of Fame- Thursday, September 28, 2023 The Erath Hall of Fame will induct Lyle Owens and Rhett Hebert on Thursday, September 28, 2023. It is at 7:00 p.m. at the Erath Community Center. It is free and open to anyone who wants to attend. Lyle Owens is a 1996 graduate and Rhett Hebert is a 2003 graduate. The 1992-93 girls basketball team will be “recognized” for the 30th anniversary of their Sweet 16 year.

Friday, September 29, 2023 HOMECOMING DAY

•Erath HIGH EHS Student Homecoming Dress Day 2023 “Happily Ever After” (Homecoming Day) Show your support for the EHS football team as they prepare for their fairytale finish of Homecoming! Wear blue, black, and/or white! Students can also wear a current school uniform shirt with the appropriate uniform bottoms.  Students are strongly encouraged, as always, to support the Bobcats at the game as well! For dress days, you must abide by all guidelines presented by class presidents. If you choose not to follow the guidelines, you will be sent to the office to change.

Friday, September 29 2023 Day Events

•HOMECOMING MASS - 7:15 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath.

•Visitation Times: See School Times for each Location.  NOTE: Because the safety of our students is at the forefront of all that we do, please read through the event guidelines attached to help us make this visitation day a memorable experience for everyone involved. We look forward to seeing you there, cheering on our Bobcats and strengthening the bonds that make our school community so special.

DOZIER ELEMENTARY (Visitation 8:45-10:00)

•Visitation will begin at 8:45am and run until 10.am. Visitation will begin after EHS Hoco Travel Group has completed the walk through.

•Only CLEAR bags will be allowed on campus.

•NO STROLLERS allowed on campus during visitations.

•Dozier visitation promptly ends at 10 AM. All guests must exit the school at 10 AM to allow time for students to attend lunch and prepare for the parade.

•Students will not be allowed to check-out during visitation. Students can checkout between 10:30 and 12:10.

•Students will not be allowed to check-out after the Homecoming parade. All students remaining at school after the parade must go home their designated way.

•NOTE: Because of capacity issues and space limitations, the EHS travel group and visitation will not take place at the same time.

•Dozier Elementary will have “Blue and White” day for dress wear for free. (No $1 jean day)

LEBLANC ELEMENTARY

•School Pep Rally 9:00-9:30 (This event is for LES students and faculty only).

•LeBlanc Elementary will have a free “Bobcat Blue” dress day. (No $1 jean day).

ERATH MIDDLE SCHOOL (Visitation 10:10 - 11:00)

•EHS Hoco Travel Party will visit at 9:50 - 10:10. Visitation will begin at 10:10 and last until 11:00 AM.

•Only CLEAR bags will be allowed on campus.

•NO STROLLERS allowed on campus during visitations.

•Visitation will conclude at 11:00 am.

•Checking out procedures will be established by school administration and there will be no deviations from the plans put into place.

•Students will report to the parade site at 12:30 and dismiss after the parade.

ERATH HIGH SCHOOL (Visitation 10:15 - Completion of Pep Rally)

•Gates for the HS Student and Alumni Pep Rally will open at 10:15.

•Only CLEAR Bags will be allowed on campus. NO STROLLERS allowed on campus during visitations.

•Visitation in the courtyard will take place between 10:15 until the pep rally starts around 11:00.

•Pep Rally- Visitors will sit in the bleachers and students will be on the field for the pep rally.

•IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE PEP RALLY INDOORS WILL ONLY BE OPEN TO EHS STUDENTS, THE EHS HOCO TRAVEL GROUPS, PARENTS OF MEMBERS AND HONORED ALUMNI CLASSES. FIRE MARSHAL CODES FOR INDOOR CAPACITY WILL BE FOLLOWED.

•At the completion of the pep rally, visitors are asked to exit campus and proceed to the parade route if attending.

•Parade: Long time Educator Lynn Vincent will be the HoCo Grand Marshal. The parade will begin at 12:30 at Erath High.

•Early dismissal will follow after the parade. Dozier Elementary approximately 1:30, Erath Middle and Erath High will dismiss after the parade, LeBlanc Elementary will dismiss at 11:00.

•Presentation of Court is at 6:15. The queen will be crowned at the game.

•Game is at 7:00pm at Robert J. Segura Stadium.
