Beta Leadership Summit, Day 2. Today was for our Senior Beta Club, and they represented GHS well!

Mrs. Savannah Trahan's biology class created an edible DNA model in class today. After assembling their DNA models, students were then asked to reassemble their models into the commentary strand of mRNA
Students that are part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes gathered this morning before school to participate in the National Day of Student Prayer.
Books were donated by Kaplan High School Class of 1977 in memory of Mr. Wayne Adams. Pictured with books are Brandy Broussard (former student and coworker), Nadine Lepretre (former student and coworker), Monica Slack (former student) and Kiley Sonnier (former student).
The FACS II students had the fantastic idea to take their “Family Flower Pot” activity to the next level and reinforce the inside then plant a flower in it to “help the family heal and grow”! Great work girls!
This Week at GHS - September 22nd through September 28th
Mrs. Trahan’s Wildlife ID enrichment class had an impromptu fish ID quiz today. Gavyn Porter correctly identified over 25 species of freshwater fish!
On Monday, GHS FCA students attended the Southwest Louisiana FCA Conference. Students networked with fellow FCA clubs and learned how to spread the good news of Christ.
