Everyone please welcome Ms. Daisy Bourgeois, our new 7th grade math and science teacher! Welcome to the GHS family!
My name is Daisy Bourgeois. I have worked in the school system over the last 3 years, while pursuing my college degree. I am a recent graduate of Louisiana State University - Alexandria, where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I truly have found a passion for working with children and I take pride in being a part of their success. I have decided to combine my mathematical skills and my love of the classroom, to provide students with a wonderful and unique learning experience. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, and most of all traveling and seeking new adventures. I am very excited to be offered the opportunity to work in and with the community of Gueydan. I am looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year and can’t wait to meet my students.

Online payments for the 2024-25 school year are now live! If you would like to pay for uniforms, ID/Locker fees, PE uniforms, Band Fees, etc., follow the link to the general Vermilion Parish OPS page, then navigate to the GHS page!

He has coached football, basketball, cross country, and track and field. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Kennedy, and 2 young children, Bennett and Eloise.

Everyone please welcome our new middle and high school science teacher, Mrs. Savannah Trahan! An introduction from Mrs. Savannah:
My name is Savannah Trahan and I’m originally from Southeast Texas. My husband, Dylan Trahan, brought me to the area where we now live on a small farm in Klondike. I graduated from McNeese University with degrees in Agricultural Science and Wildlife Management. Before teaching I worked as an agricultural and natural resources county agent where I discovered my love of educating others. I just finished my second year as a high school science teacher at Hathaway High and am certified to teach grades 6-12 science. While at Hathaway, I was also the head softball coach (22-23) and assistant junior high/high school track coach (23-24). My hobbies include ranch sorting, saltwater fishing, raising Santa Gertrudis cattle, and chasing our two year old daughter around. I am very excited to join the Gueydan community and get to know my new students.
Welcome to the GHS family!
