VPSS All Vermilion Parish Schools remained closed on Thursday. We will reopen on Friday 9/13.

Due to inclement weather:
Vermilion Parish Schools will be closed on Tuesday, September 10th and Wednesday, September 11th.
We will make a decision about Thursday once we have further confirmation on the projected track.
The coke pick up date will be rescheduled for September 24th 3:00 - 5:00pm.

A note about the weather from Superintendent Byler:
We will be monitoring with OEP and the National Weather Service out of Lake Charles on potential excessive rain and or tropical depression or storm conditions mid week.
Saturated conditions in some areas from last week's rains could also play a factor this week.
We will keep all updated on anything that could affect normal school operations through this platform as well as our JCampus text and VPSS App.

The out of uniform dress is free today. Student Council will be selling pirate tattoos in the gym this morning for $1 each. The money raised will help student council.

Student Council would like to thank everyone who donated food products for the harvesting kindness food drive. The total weight of goods that were donated to the Kaplan food bank was 490 pounds. The city of Kaplan asked for us to tell everyone how much the city needed this and how grateful they are to our school.
