The Vermilion Parish School System will be providing meals during the summer months while school is out.
All information, including school sites and times, will be posted online at

as it is approved by the Louisiana Department of Education.
The Vermilion Parish School System will be distributing meal boxes this summer. Each meal box has 7 breakfast and 7 lunches. Any child ages 18 and under can register to get a meal box.

Registration for the 6/3/24 meal box pickup will close today, Friday, 5/24/24, at 10:00 am.
Please share this information to as many people as you can so every child that needs or wants a meal box can get one. We will distribute boxes every Tuesday, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Rene Rost Middle School would like to welcome Christophe Pirson. Mr. Pirson will be our new French teacher. He is from Liège, southern Belgium. He has been a French teacher for 13 years. Mr. Pirson is the proud father of two little girls. He plays basketball, listens to music and watches movies in his free time. He said "I can't wait to teach you my mother tongue and I'm sure we will have fun discovering this beautiful language."
